Mission Complete! Girls’ Generation “Genie” Japanese version reached 100,000 copies within 8 weeks!

After cheers for a month, the first single of Girls’ Generation in Japan named “Genie” can finally reach 100,000 copies, reported by the Oricon’s chart officially.

“Genie” still makes impressive copies on the Oricon’s chart continually since September 8, the day that “Genie” was released for the first day in Japan.

Right now, Girls’ Generation and their single still have a name on the weekly Oricon’s music chart at #25 since the first day that Girls’ Generation debut in Japan.

The special thing was 4,435 copies in the last week. It makes the total of “Genie” copies increases to 101,252 copies now. It can prove Girls’ Generation’s success in Japan very well.

Before, “Genie was rewarded for the “GOLD” rank by Recording Industry Association of Japan after this single can make more than 100,000 copies in September.

Moreover, Girls’ Generation’s popularity is always shown through the Oricon’s music chart. Their reputation is accepted and now they become the most famous Korean idol girl group in Japan.

Cover Asia in Pink! Girls’ Generation wants to cover Asia Market!

On November 1st, Girls’ Generation and SM Entertainment representative, Kim Young Min, attended the Foreign Press Conference at Foreign Correspondents’ Club in Seoul Press Center to discuss about Girls’ Generation’s oversea activities and SM Entertainment’s plan for Girls’ Generation in the future.

Kim Young Min said that three major reasons that contribute Girls’ Generation’s success are abilities, planning and adaptability to Media changes. Currently, Girls’ Generation’s success becomes the envy to many singers in United States and Europe. Moreover, Girls’ Generation had a plan to cover the Asia Market and they committed to do it. Girls Generation wants to cover Asia in Pink!

For the Chinese Market, Kim Young Min said that Girls’ Generation had a concert in Shanghai and recently in Taiwan. Furthermore, Girls’ Generation has been learning Chinese language since their debut. He hoped that there will have more opportunities for Girls’ Generation to perform in China again.
